The Instrumentation Department employs around ten technical staff, and is responsible for developing, optimizing or adapting the tools and instruments needed to implement the scientific programs of the laboratory's research themes. This mainly concerns platforms for the laboratory's experimental simulations, instruments for field measurements (ground and aircraft) and space instrumentation. To achieve this, it relies on the electronics and optics laboratories, the mechanical design office and the design and modeling software available in the laboratory. It can also draw on the support of the OSU-EFLUVE mechanical workshop and the Faculty of Science and Technology.

 

This department is also responsible for maintaining equipment on experimental simulation platforms (CESAM, CSA, OREGOC, etc.), the spectroscopy platform (QUASARS, PARIS, IRTF HR spectrometer, etc.), mobile measurement platforms (PEGASUS, MILEAGE, AVIRAD) and observation services (SQA, OASIS, etc.).
