The objective of this project is to establish and operate (for at least one year) a network of atmospheric deposition measurements to better constrain the representation of the sink terms in the regional transport models of atmospheric particulate matter. We focus on the measurement of the mineral aerosols, mainly those associated to the events of Saharan dust transport towards the Mediterranean and Europe. A specific and autonomous collector (CARAGA: http://www.lisa.u-pec.fr/~losno/CARAGA) was developed, in collaboration with the ICARE Company for this project. The project includes a modeling component whose objective is to test, using these data, the quality of the particle deposition modules used in transport models.
