From Yokohama to Créteil: LISA welcomes Akinori Ito
From April 8 to 12, 2024, Akinori Ito, researcher at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), visited LISA thanks to the French Embassy's Exploration France program.
Akinori Ito is a world-renowned expert in atmospheric iron modeling, and a pioneer in exploring the sources of nutrients in oceanic phytoplankton using transport chemistry models. During his visit, Akinori held discussions with numerous LISA researchers, notably concerning the research program in Namibia, and gave a seminar on "Aerosol iron deposition to marine ecosystems in the Anthropocene".
Attendance was high, and discussions lively, despite the vacation period!
