The understanding of mineral dust aerosols and their impacts on climate depends on the ability of regional and global climate models in reproducing their composition, size and shape. This has motivated a number of field experiments which have been conducted in the last few years, both over source and transport regions.
This web site is dedicated to archiving these data and making them available to the scientific community. It is thought as a open repository which will be implemented as soon as new data will be acquired.
Observational data are referenced consistently with respect to the inlet and sampler cuf-off, sampling protocols and analytical techniques. This allows comparing the results and investigating differences, similarities and trends, and to facilitate comparison with modelling.
